The Story Behind the Name

‍In Roman mythology, Cupid isn't just a cherub with a bow. He's the god of desire and attraction — and crucially, he sees love before it fully exists. He recognises the invisible threads between people, the connection forming before either person is aware of it. That idea stuck with me!

As a photographer, my job isn't to manufacture moments — it's to see them. To notice the glance across the room that lasts a beat too long. The way someone's hand finds their partner's without thinking. The quiet exhale just before the ceremony begins.

Cupids Eye is about capturing love the way Cupid would see it — not just what's obvious, but what's real. The unguarded moments. The in-between seconds that often end up meaning the most.
There's also something poetic about perspective. Cupid sees love from above, with a bird's-eye view of the whole story. I try to bring that same intentionality — stepping back to see the bigger picture while staying close enough to catch the details that make your day yours.

The name is a reminder of what this work is really about: seeing love clearly, capturing it honestly, and preserving it beautifully.
